Martin Luther King Community Center … The shelves are getting pretty bare and supplies are low, but people are still hungry. They are currently in dire need of:    Jelly; canned meats (chicken, Spam, beef stew, chili, corned beef hash, sardines, tuna…); side dishes (Rice-a-Roni, Near East pilaf, instant potato, packaged pasta; pasta sauce; baked beans; tomato products (excluding diced tomatoes); soup (particularly large cans but all are welcome!) canned fruit (excluding apple sauce); canned vegetables, especially corn (but not creamed), beets, potatoes, and mixed vegetables.

Turning Around Ministries … can use gift cards to WalMart and Stop & Shop

Salvation Army needs shelf-stable milk, peanut butter & jelly, baby food, diapers, hygiene products and money

The McKinney Shelter needs gift cards from WalMart, Dunkin Donuts, twin bed linens, towels, and toiletries

Donations of money or grocery cards can always be made to… the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund …  Several times a week the pastor gets calls from people needing help to pay rent, heat, electric bills, or buy food)

Volunteer time or donate funds to community agencies that help the homeless of Newport
